Moeck "Rottenburgh" Tenor with Bent Neck

Moeck Rottenburgh recorders were designed by Friedrich von Huene after original instruments by the Belgian maker Jean-Hyacinthe Rottenburgh (1672-1756.) They are made in the Hermann Moeck Workshops in Celle, Germany. These instruments have a rich tone and flawless intonation.

The Knick-Tenor's bent neck brings the right hand closer to the shoulder and can make the reach more manageable especially for players with short arms, small hands, or who are of petite stature. It is also available with additional keys on the center joint for holes 3 and 4 to further reduce the stretch (Knick-Tenor-Plus). The model with extra keys comes with an ergonomically-angled adjustable thumbrest, complete with a loop to accept a neck strap. Please note: this model is only available in MAPLE.

Recorders purchased from the von Huene Workshop are thoroughly examined & approved before shipping. We seal the head joints of olive, rosewood, and grenadilla instruments in our shop to protect against cracking. We offer a full 2-year warranty on all NEW instruments, including a free revoicing by our skilled staff.
