Regarding shipping:

Currently, the US Postal Service real-time shipping is not compatible with our web store, as it cannot be configured to include insurance. We hope this will soon be updated. However, we have disabled the USPS option until it can provide an accurate estimate cost estimate. We CAN and DO ship by the US mail; unless specifically requested, all orders will be shipped by the most economical method available and charged at the actual cost (we can adjust your order total DOWNWARD).
PLEASE NOTE: The US Postal Service has a surcharge in place for packages shipped from 10/1/2022 to 1/31/2023. Most DOMESTIC music orders can be shipped by Media Mail for about $7 or Priority Mail for $13 (the minimum charge for shipping outside the US is $30). Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

While we make an effort to ship orders promptly, sometimes shipping may take a few extra days while we wait for items to come in or for other reasons. If you need your order in a hurry, please let us know when you place your order.
We ship all packages declared and insured for their replacement value; if you would prefer not to pay for insurance in shipping, we are happy to ship according to your instructions, but we will not be responsible for lost or damaged packages that were sent without insurance.

If you send instruments to us, whether for repair, for sale on consignment, or to return instruments on approval, you can use whatever carrier is most convenient. But please do insure the package for its full value, and ensure that it is properly packed. Instruments should be shipped in their cases when possible, in a sturdy box with plenty of packaging around all sides of the case. When in doubt, refer to the carrier's packaging guidelines; in most cases, they will refuse to pay insurance claims on damaged items that they deem to have been inadequately packaged. Also, even if you have already spoken to someone about your package, please enclose a detailed note in the box giving us your name, address, phone number or other contact information, and your instructions.

Shipments from OUTSIDE the US:
Any shipment that goes through US customs valued at $200 or more is subject to duty and fees; on even a relatively inexpensive instrument, this can amount to $60-100 or more. Please make sure to follow these guidelines when shipping recorders from outside the US:
• total value of the shipment must be declared at LESS than $200
• repairs must be clearly marked 'MUSICAL INSTRUMENT returned to MAKER for REPAIR'
All duty and fees which are incurred on inbound shipments will be billed to the sender.
